Police Conduct Special Anti-Crime Operation in Navrongo Ahead of Christmas

The Navrongo Divisional Police Command has conducted a special anti-crime operation as part of heightened security measures to ensure public safety during the Christmas festivities.

The operation, carried out on December 18, 2025, began at about 6:00 p.m. and targeted several identified crime hotspots within the Navrongo township. During the exercise, police arrested eight suspects in connection with suspected criminal activities.

Those arrested are Mohammed Nasiru (35), Pwoawuvi Isaac (24), Roger Kansah (35), Akinkana Akanpiiba (30), Kingsley Adafula (22), Abraham Akanporise (25), Zakaria Mohammed (25), and Clinton Atinmoliga (25).

Items retrieved during the operation include tramadol tablets, seven pairs of scissors, a mobile phone, a television set, and a motorcycle.

The suspects are currently in police custody, undergoing screening. Police say individuals found culpable will be arraigned before the court in accordance with the law.

The Ghana Police Service has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order throughout the festive season and has urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
