The Accra Regional Police Command has announced a series of security measures to ensure peace and safety before, during, and after the Parliamentary Re-run in the Ablekuma North Constituency, scheduled for Friday, 11th July 2025.
The Electoral Commission has designated nineteen (19) polling stations within the constituency for the re-run. Police say personnel will be deployed to all polling locations to maintain law and order throughout the process.
In addition to securing the polling stations, police will manage vehicular and pedestrian traffic around the voting areas. The plan includes setting up strategic barriers to prevent unauthorised access to polling centres.
The Accra Regional Police Command has appealed to the public to fully cooperate with security personnel, follow electoral guidelines, and help ensure a peaceful election atmosphere.
Residents are also encouraged to report any suspicious activity or individuals to the police immediately by calling 18555 or 192.
