The Bono Regional Police Command has arrested fifty-four (54) suspects in a series of swoop operations aimed at clamping down on illegal drug peddlers, users, and robbery hideouts across the region.
These operations are part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug activities and rid communities of criminal elements. The operations were intelligence-led and carried out by the Regional Police Intelligence Department (PID) and other personnel targeting criminal activities in Abesim, Banda, Nkrankwanta, Odumase, Dumasua, Wenchi, and Dormaa areas.

The arrested suspects include: Rev. Seized items include quantities of tramadol, six pairs of scissors, a green tricycle (“Pragya”), wrappers of dried leaves and seeds suspected to be Indian hemp, a small crusher, two boxes of matches, and one box of cigarettes. All exhibits have been retained for evidential purposes.
The suspects have been arraigned before the court and remanded in police custody for further investigation.
The Bono Regional Police Command assures the public of its preparedness to ensure a crime-free festival season and warns that individuals committing crimes will be arrested and made to face the full rigours of the law.
