Ghana’s John Zile faces Tough Test Against Majiha in Tanzania

3 Min Read

In a tough duel away from home, Ghana’s Super Bantamweight boxer and UBO Champion John Zile will fight the battle-tested Fadili Majiha over eight rounds.Â

The non-title bout will be staged by Mafia Boxing Promotions in Tanzania tonight, December 26, 2024, at the Super Dome Arena in Dar Es Salaam.Â

Majiha ( 33-14-4) is a wily and tough customer with immense experience who cracks hard. He’s resolute and relentless in the ring and has great stamina.Â

But across the ring, current UBO Continental Super Bantamweight champion John Zile has received adequate preparation at the Bronx Boxing Gym under Lawrence Carl Lokko.

The ” Bono Warrior ” as he’s called wouldn’t let down his management team: the Osibor Boxing Management led by Gordon Frimpong aka Osibor.Â

Now with an impressive resumè of ( 13-0- 2), Zile is poised to maintain his unbeaten record.Â

He predicted a knockout when Ace TV Boxing Reporter Samuel Opoku Amoah aka Sam Nana Gold linked up with him at the Bronx Boxing Gym in Accra, ” I know it’s going to be extremely difficult to win on points in Tanzania. They did it to Manyo Plange and many other boxers. So I’m going in for the knockout. I’m finishing Majiha within the distance “, Zile declared.Â

Majiha who is the son of UK-based Ghanaian boxing manager, matchmaker and agent Azumah Coffie fought another Ghanaian boxer based in the US, Manyo Plange in December 2022; winning on points, albeit controversially.Â

John Zile is an excellent boxer-puncher with a good engine and a high work rate. He keeps a tight defence and isn’t afraid to mix it up. Zile, from the Bono Region of Ghana, is a good finisher who knows how to get the job done. He was motivated to switch from soccer to boxing after watching tapes of Isaac Dogboe ( former WBO World Champion) and eventually meeting up with him.Â

The bout should be an interesting one and the best man would triumph on the night.
