To become a soldier, one is required to go through some very strenuous training regimes.

But to withstand these trainings is a make or break decision for the recruits.

We give you highlights of an army boxing event from the Nutekpor Naval Command in the South Tongu district of the Volta region.

The journey to becoming a soldier, is no means an easy task.

The aim is to ensure that the trainees acquire the skill of endurance and perseverance to face future obstacles.

But you certainly have no idea what is in stock the next moment.

And you need not to be skilled in the field of task.

The recruits at the Nutekpor naval command in the South Tongu district of the Volta region were called up to engage in boxing to test their physical readiness.

The bt83 recruits took part in the fierce competition in six groups, GNS Achimota, Yogaga, Sebo, Dzata, Bonsu and Azonze.

Team GNS Azonze emerged winners with accumulated 67 points.

GNS Sebo and GNS Achimota placed 1st and 2nd runners up with 64 and 62 points each.
