GCB Bank PLC on Saturday, January 31, 2026, held its National Thanksgiving Service at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

The service was attended by the Managing Director, Farihan Alhassan, members of the Board of Directors, management, and staff of the bank.
Rev. Stephen Wengam, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Ghana Immigration Service, delivered the sermon.

Sermon
In his message, Rev. Wengam urged Ghanaians to recognise and appreciate the mercies and favour of God in all their achievements. Drawing from 2 Samuel 9, he encouraged Christians to respond to God’s blessings with humility, gratitude, diligence, and kindness toward others.
He further emphasised that wealth and success do not require corruption, stressing that true prosperity comes through God’s favour, mercy, and honest hard work.

Loyalty and Commitment
Addressing the congregation, Managing Director Farihan Alhassan expressed profound gratitude to God and commended staff of GCB Bank for their loyalty, dedication, and commitment to duty. He expressed confidence that the bank would continue to achieve greater milestones in the years ahead.
The Thanksgiving service was graced with musical ministrations from Tehilla Cedars of Cedar Mountain Chapel, East Legon, and renowned gospel musician Nacee.
