A former member of parliament for Kpone-Katamanso, and the regent of Katamanso, Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, is urging NDC delegates in Greater Accra and other regions to vote for former president Mahama in the upcoming presidential primaries.
He noted that challenges confronting the country requires experience and political maturity.
Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, popularly referred to as lion, made the call during a tour of constituencies in the Ga Dangme area of the greater Accra region.
The tour was organized by the greater Accra John Mahana campaign team covering 93 wards in Ada, Sege and Kpone Katamanso constituencies.
chairman for the Ada constituency and a former ambassador, Horace Nii Ayi Ankrah, urged delegates to support the former president.
Member of the campaign team took turns at various wards calling on Ghanaians to vote for john mahama.
Four persons have so far picked up nomination forms to contest in the National Democratic Congress NDC flagbearership race.
They are former President John Dramani Mahama, former Finance Minister, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, former Metropolitan Chief Executive for Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu and businessman, Ernest Kwaku Krobea.
The NDC will on May 13 elect a Flagbearer and parliamentary candidates for the 2024 elections.
