After an eventful year, the Economic and Organized Crime Office, EOCO, has wrapped up 2024 with a celebratory event held at its headquarters in Accra.
Significant on the occasion were the unveiling of two innovative initiatives, the EOCO Ladies Association and EOCO Voices.
EOCO Ladies is a platform aimed at empowering women in the organization through skills development and collaboration.
The EOCO Voices, on the other hand, is an in-house choir, to foster creativity and comradeship among staff while supporting EOCO’s events.
The Executive Director, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, emphasized the agency’s commitment to enhancing staff welfare and productivity.
“We don’t let our retirees go completely. Many of them remain valuable sources of information in their communities, supporting our work. This initiative ensures continuity and builds a supportive network for our staff even after retirement,” COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah said.
The event also honoured outstanding employees for their dedication throughout the year and introduced the Retired EOCO Staff Association, a program designed to harness the expertise of former personnel to enhance continuity and support the agency’s operations.
Reflecting on EOCO’s successes, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah reaffirmed the agency’s resolve to deliver even greater results in 2025.
“Every year, we aim to improve upon yesterday. By assessing our progress against the five-year strategic plan, we ensure we remain on course. We are poised to do better in 2025, implementing strategies that make EOCO even stronger,” she noted.
The event highlighted the agency’s dedication to innovation, excellence, and teamwork.
