The Accra Regional Police Command has assured the public of robust security measures ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, aimed at ensuring a peaceful and incident-free festivity.
Police say adequate personnel have been deployed to key locations, including mosques, Eid prayer grounds, major roads, markets, transport terminals and other public spaces to safeguard lives and property.
Special traffic management teams have also been assigned to control vehicular movement before, during and after prayers to reduce congestion and enhance road safety.

In addition, patrol teams will intensify visibility policing across communities to deter crime and respond swiftly to emergencies.
The Command is urging the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
The statement, signed by the Accra Regional Police PRO, Superintendent Juliana Obeng, urged motorists and pedestrians to strictly adhere to traffic regulations to ensure a smooth and safe celebration.
The Police Command has extended its best wishes to the Muslim community and the general public for a peaceful and joyous Eid-ul-Fitr.
