The Committee for Professional Boxing Stakeholders (CPBS), comprising all stakeholder bodies under the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), held a meeting on Sunday, May 25, 2025, to deliberate on pressing issues affecting professional boxing in Ghana.

The meeting, held at The Gym Boxing & Fitness Gym in Accra, focused on the GBA’s proposed date for its upcoming congress and elections, a date the CPBS has officially rejected until certain key concerns are addressed.

According to the CPBS, while the GBA leadership has extended an invitation to meet and discuss the matter, the Committee insists that any such invitation must be formally communicated in writing, not through word of mouth or the media.

The CPBS has given the GBA a deadline of 12:00 noon on Monday, May 26, 2025, to respond officially and issue a written invitation to engage. If this condition is not met, the scheduled meeting for 4:00 p.m. that same day will be considered suspended.
