One person has been shot dead during a crossfire between feuding factions at Bawku in the Upper East region.
The Wednesday, January 17 gun battle has left two persons in critical condition after sustaining serious gunshot wounds
The incident that occurred near Bawku police station at about 2pm.
The body of the male deceased has since been taken to the Bawku Presbyterian Hospital while the other victims, both females are receiving treatment at the Vineyard Hospital in Bawku.
This is the second deadly attack in the Bawku municipality this year.
The first incident occurred on the afternoon of Friday January 12, when a male adult was shot dead while returning home with his cattle
Security has meanwhile been beefed up in the Bawku municipality to prevent further escalation.
