Some members of the Ashanti regional council of elders of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, are threatening to work and campaign against the party come 2024, if the ongoing discrimination,antagonism and divisive tactics by some leading members do not stop.
A member of the council of elders, Nana Wiafe Abebio, gave the warning after the names of some regional council of elders were deleted from the album to be used for the regional elections.
Four out of the ten members who form the council of elders of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti region have had their names deleted from the delegate album for the May 29 regional executive elections.
The aggrieved members at a media briefing expressed shock at the situation and accused the incumbent regional chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, of manipulations.
