Twelve-year-old Michaela Nana Yaa Sarpong Akuoko showcased remarkable intelligence across all aspects, securing the top position in Season 3 of the Miss Kidi Ghana finals held at the Zenith University College auditorium on Saturday.
Defying tough competition from nine other contestants, Michaela, a pupil of Says International School, claimed the ultimate crown of Miss Kidi Ghana.
Her exceptional eloquence not only earned her the Miss Eloquence Prize but also extended her prowess to triumph in the Miss Talent category.
Recognized for her exceptional performance, she was presented with a crown, sashes, educational materials, a tablet, various products from sponsors, and a round-trip ticket for an international journey.
The title of the first runner-up went to Muntom Ninsaw Lucita, a pupil at the Ministry of Health Basic School. She was also awarded a special cash prize, educational materials, a tablet, and a sash.
Valerie Malgor Nareyore and Princess Kofituo Xornam secured the second runner-up and third runner-up positions, respectively, while Lisa Naa Adjeley Sowah stood as the fourth runner-up.
These participants were also presented with sashes and special prizes in acknowledgment of their efforts.
The excitement-filled event, judged by Nana Tiaah Ampem Darkoa I, Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum, and musician Kwabena Kwabena, intensified as the initial ten contestants were narrowed down to the final five.
The audience was treated to sensational musical performances by Banzy Vanero, the Hossana hitmaker, as well as Truth Ofori and Diamond Arts Academy, creating a vibrant atmosphere within the packed auditorium.
Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, CEO of ASKOF Productions Limited, the organizers of the kids’ pageant, expressed her thoughts in a post-event interview, stating, “This competition has been truly rewarding, and I congratulate all ten contestants for their remarkable journey. Their weeks of dedicated rehearsals have undoubtedly paid off. My heartfelt gratitude goes to their parents and schools for their unwavering support.”
She continued, “Of course, none of this would have been possible without the relentless efforts of my hardworking and committed team members-Eugene, Tanko, Chris, Eugene II, Ameley, Isaac, and Kakel. We are eagerly looking forward to an even more impactful Season 4.”
She concluded by reflecting on the transformation witnessed from the beginning of the competition until now, highlighting the joy it brings to provide young girls with a platform to express their innate talents.
