A simulated Political Party, Democratic Action Alliance, DPP, has unveiled its flagbearer and running mate.
This forms part of the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC), Ghana Institute of Journalism political communication course.
All level 300 students have been mandated to form simulated political parties to demonstrate their practical knowledge and understanding.
The simulated parties were expected to engage in all political activities including but not limited to electioneering campaign launch, election of executives, flagbearers and running mates.
They are also to develop and practically demonstrate political communication strategies that they would rely on to campaign in order to win the hearts of the voters.
The DAA event at the at the Dzorwulu campus of UniMAC, GIJ campus saw the unveiling of the party logo and the outdooring of the flagbearer and his running mates for the coming election.
Flagbearer of Democratic Action Alliance, Reginald Pepsival Robertson, in an interview said the DPP firmly believes that everyone deserves an equal chance at life.
“We envision an economy that works for all, not just the wealthy elites”.
He further indicated the party’s support for a universal healthcare system that is accessible and affordable to all citizens, regardless of their financial status.
Reginald Pepsival Robertson, has also been speaking about the importance of the course to the entire student body.
The Democratic Action Alliance also indicated its readiness to work tirelessly in securing victory on the final day of the project.
The competition will be climaxed with rallies from various parties and a debate by all flagbearers and running mates of the various parties on Friday, March 24,2023 at the Dzorwulu campus of UniMAC, GIJ campus.
