Boxing: Isaac Dogboe Set for 2nd World Title on April 1

Former featherweight world champion, Isaac ‘the royal storm’ Dogboe is set to challenge for the WBO world title on April 1.

The Ghanaian will come against Cuban, Robeisy Eloy Carrazana Ramirez in the big fight is scheduled to take place in the United States of America, USA.

Isaac Dogboe who confirmed the fight at a media briefing in Accra however said the venue for the championship is yet to be determined.

The agreement was reached days after Isaac dogboe was directed by the WBC to negotiate a title eliminator with the Philippino Jessel Mark Araula Magsayo.

According to the former champion, the WBC’s effort was admirable, yet the move was a non-starter because of the value.

Isaac Dogboe will face two-time Olympic gold medalist, Robeisy Carrazana Ramirez, who has a long history in the amateur before turning professional, situating him as a tough contender.

Ramirez had eleven professional fights, won ten, lost one, with seven of the wins coming via knockouts.

With a record of 26 fights 2 losses and 15 knockouts, Dogboe is aware of the threat but thinks he has what it takes to deal with it.

President of the Ghana Boxing Authority, Abraham Kotei Neequaye, has called on Ghanaians to support ‘the royal storm’ to win the title.

A win for Isaac Dogboe will position him for a double against at WBC as the Philipino featherweight Jessel Mark Araula Magsayo will now face another opponent in the WBC eliminator.
