Fuel tanker operators, drivers and other staff have been updated on emergency response.
The simulation, led by the fire and ambulance services was held at the Ghana Ports and Habours Authority’s new terminal at Kpone in the greater Accra region.
The exercise formed part of road safety education.
It was organized jointly by the Ghana national Fire Service, RIET Transport Company limited and the Ghana Ambulance Service, and conducted at the Kpone – GPHA new Terminal Highway in Kpone Ghana Ports and Habours Authority’s new terminal.
The targeted organizations were taken through several accident emergency response drills.
The commander at the davtraco Fire station at Community 25, Tema, DO1, Philemon Buabeng said the exercise is very important in the wake of rampant road traffic accident in the country and urge other organizations to join in.
The health and safety manager, at riet transport company limited, Joseph Kwesi Asomah, welcomed the collaboration with the Ghana national fire and Ambulance services, adding that it will go a long way to improve emergency response among road users.
