When a mother sees her physically challenged children in a cradle every day, unable to accomplish anything for themselves due to health issues, the tale is unhappiness.

That is the situation of 45-year-old Habiba Issah, a single mother of two children in Kambali, a suburb of Wa in the upper west region.

At age 7, she is unable to sit unaided and cannot feed herself.

Doctors have diagnosed her condition as spastic cerebral palsy induced from severe birth asphyxia.

Habiba claimed most people are scared to buy from her.

Habiba’s husband and family have abandoned her and the children.

The children’s condition and societal neglect have weighed heavily on her mental state.

A pediatrician specialist at the upper west regional hospital, dr. Matilda Akanzum, described the seven year old’s condition as a severe form of cerebral palsy.
