Some members of the progressive people’s party, PPP, in the upper west region have defected to the national democratic congress.
The former PPP members including executives said they have realized the PPP cannot win power anytime soon.
The defectors were from across constituencies in the region.
General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Aseidu Nketia, welcomed the new members hoping it will boost their fortunes in the coming years.
Some defected members spoke about rationale for their decision.
