Minister for lands and natural resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor has assured of stringent measures put in the place to nurture trees being planted under the green Ghana project.
According to him, it would be an effort in futility to spend taxpayer money to plant trees without conscious plans to protect them.
The second national greening Ghana day targets the planting of 20 million trees across the country.

In the Tempane district of the upper east region, the chief of Kpikpira, Naba Danzuur II, joined the DCE to plant five million trees across the district.
Naba Danzuur II pledge his support for the initiative and called on his subjects to embrace the initiative for posterity.
