The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has deployed a special police team to Gbeniyiri following reprisal attacks that triggered security concerns in the community.

The team, made up of intelligence officers and investigators, has been tasked to support the Ghana Police Service Regional Command to strengthen security operations and ensure that those responsible for the attacks are identified and brought to justice.
According to the Savannah Regional Police Command, the deployment forms part of efforts to stabilise the situation and prevent any further violence in the area.
Police say calm has since been restored in the community, with security personnel maintaining a strong presence to safeguard lives and property.
The Command further assured residents that investigations are ongoing and that every effort is being made to track down and arrest the perpetrators behind the attacks.
Authorities are urging members of the public to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing credible information that could assist in the ongoing investigations.
