The Western Regional Police Command has launched a manhunt for a gang of armed robbers who attacked a gold-buying shop in the Mpohor District on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
According to police, the robbers bolted with an undisclosed amount of money after injuring one person during the raid. One suspect has since been arrested and is assisting with investigations, while efforts are underway to track down the remaining members of the gang.
Police confirmed that the injured victim is currently responding to treatment.
In a statement signed by Superintendent Olivia Adiku, Head of the Western Regional Police Public Affairs Unit, the public was assured that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
