Acting on the intelligence, police officers at the checkpoint conducted a search operation, leading to the arrest of one suspect along with the stolen motorbike.
Further investigations extended to hostels at the Nyankpala and Dungu campuses of the University for Development Studies, where the remaining two suspects were arrested.
Weapons and Stolen Items Recovered
A search of the suspects’ rooms led to the recovery of:
- A pistol
- A jackknife
- Machetes
- The stolen iPhone 17
- The stolen Haojue motorbike
Police say the recovery of the items strengthens the case against the suspects.
Suspects Remanded, Case Adjourned
