The unidentified attackers allegedly set up an ambush close to the victim’s home.
witnesses claim that Daniel Brempong left his house at around 7:30 in the morning to go get some produce from the farm.
Soon after, there was a gunshot, followed by screaming.
Some neighbours rushed in and found the lifeless body of the deceased in a pool of blood.

the situation has increased tension in Nkonya as some youth want to exact retribution.
However, others are encouraging restraint and pushing government officials to look into the case and find the criminals.
According to the police sources, there was a gunshot around 10:00 Sunday night but a search in the area found no traces.
The source says there have been increased police patrols throughout the night until the unfortunate occurred.
the body has since been deposited at the Margaret Marquart Hospital morgue at Kpando.
