
The Ghana Highway Authority (GHA), on behalf of the Ministry of Roads and Highways, wishes to inform the general public and all road users of a temporary traffic management arrangement to support ongoing construction works on the Accra-Tema Motorway and Extensions Project.
As part of the expansion works at the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange Bridge, there will be a temporary reduction in lanes on both the north-south-bound carriageways (Madina to Accra and vice versa).
Key Details:
- Effective Date: Sunday, 22nd June 2025
- Duration: Four (4) months
- Affected Route: North-South bound carriageways at the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange
- Lane Adjustment: Reduction from four (4) lanes to three (3)
This measure is to facilitate the safe construction of central piers for the bridge expansion and to ensure the safety of construction personnel and the motoring public.
Motorist Advisory:
- Follow posted directional signs
- Exercise caution when approaching the construction zone
- Cooperate with traffic management personnel to avoid unnecessary delays
