Police Probe Alleged ₵100,000 Theft at Winneba Filling Station

The Central Regional Police Command has launched investigations into an alleged theft of ₵100,000 involving Christian Dadzie Brown, a former supervisor of Reliance Oil Company Limited filling station in Winneba.

According to the Police, the Winneba Divisional Command received a report on December 1, 2025, following a routine audit by the company, which uncovered a cash shortfall of ₵100,000, allegedly embezzled by the former supervisor.

The auditors reportedly requested Mr. Brown to account for the missing funds. However, under the pretext of going to the washroom, he allegedly exited the office through the back door, scaled the perimeter wall of the filling station, and fled.

Preliminary checks indicate that the suspect is currently at large.

The Police are appealing to the general public, particularly residents of Winneba and its environs, to provide credible information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact the Police via 18555 or 054 375 2443.

Investigations are ongoing.
