How do you feel walking around in three different shirts in the hot sun and crowds?
Yes, one man has accomplished it.
Anicheema Aboatin Moro, also known as Waasa, has ‘don’ 35 distinct smocks in honor of a yearly cultural celebration.
Waasa Moro’s fashion sense swayed people’s opinions at the durbar grounds.
The main draw at the time was a bunch of young people dancing while donning 3in1 smocks.
The dancing abruptly halted to applaud Waasa as he emerged in his bulky-looking smock.
The patron or chief of the smocks, is another common term for Waasa, who used to surprise people.
He claimed that the quantity of smocks on him stood for each year that the yearly Samanpiid event was held in the Kusaug traditional area.
I do wear my smocks to promote my culture since I am a proud Kusasi, he claimed.
Anicheema Aboatin Moro, aka, Waasa, appealed to the interior minister to lift the ban on the wearing of smock in the Bawku Municipality.
He also appealed to the feuding faction in Bawku to seek dialogue as means to ending the deadly conflict, while dedicating unique style to the Zugraan Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II for his continuous call for peace in the area.
