It has been revealed that the famous Ghanaian actor turned pastor Prince Yawson, aka, Waakye’s death might have been precipitated by the ‘no bed syndrome’ in the hospitals.
According to the leader of the Akan concert group, Obra, of which Waakye was a member, Grace Omaboe, aka Maame Dokunoo, the now deceased spent four hours in a taxi moving from one hospital to the other because there were no beds.
She alleged that another patient had to eventually vacate his bed at the ’37 military hospital’ when he heard that the stranded patient being referred to was Waakye.
Maame Dokunoo further alleged that the ’37 military hospital’ denied the wife of Prince Yawson the opportunity to stay in the hospital at night to take care of the husband, a situation she claimed led to his untimely death.
