The Ghana armed forces say they are poised to take home all of the prizes in the second season of the Ghana professional boxing league.
After observing the inaugural season from the stands, interim coach, chief petty officer class 2, Bernard Tetteh Nartey, insisted his team is extremely motivated to dominate the league.
That was a part of the early-morning workout at their adopted seconds out gym in Accra, which is close to the Baden Powell Hall.
The army team was getting ready for a unique pre-independence boxing night tournament on Thursday, March 2.
The boxers completed further light exercises before doing the standard military form-up and salutes.
The team’s interim coach, Chief petty officer class 2, Bernard Tetteh Nartey, reaffirmed their commitment to leading the league.
He insisted they have observed the first season from the stands and has marked up plans based on the deficiencies of the participants.
He also guaranteed the league’s overall security for the league to ensure decency and violence free.
The team leader and a former member of the black bombers, Jerry Lartey, had some words for other competitors.
