
The Ghana armed forces have appointed the first female commanding officer for the transport battalion in the person of lieutenant colonel Justina Frimpong.
Before her appointment, lieutenant colonel Frimpong was a deputy director of administration at the army headquarters in Burma camp.

Lieutenant colonel Justina Frimpong was born in Oyoko, Koforidua in the eastern region.
She studied operations and supply chain management at the Greenhill college, GIMPA.

Lieutenant colonel Frimpong had undertaken various trainings courses both home and abroad since joining the army to prepare her for enviable position.
