The Ghana Education Service has interdicted the headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School, Joshua Vidzro, over alleged sexual misconduct with female students.

It is reported that a final year student of the school who has been confirmed pregnant is said to have been impregnated by Mr. Vidzro.
In an incident, a 14-year-old first-year student also alleges that Vidzro took her off campus to have sexual intercourse with her.
The Regional Directorate of Education has directed the Headmaster of Diodze-Penyi Senior High School to step aside immediately over allegations of sexual misconduct involving female students.
The directive, issued under the instructions of the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), states that the headmaster’s temporary removal is necessary to “protect the integrity of the investigative process and prevent any real or perceived interference.”
According to the letter, the headmaster is required to:
- Hand over all official duties, records, and school property to the Municipal Director of Education for Ketu North. Vacate the school premises on Monday, December 8, 2025, after handing over.
- Remain available to assist investigators, while refraining from direct or indirect contact with the affected students or any potential witnesses.
The GES emphasized that the decision is not a declaration of guilt, but rather an administrative measure intended to uphold due process and institutional accountability while investigations are ongoing.
In the interim, the Municipal Director of Education for Ketu North has been instructed to take charge of the administration and management of the school until further notice.
