
The Central East Regional Police Command has secured the conviction of Kolie Samuel, aged 25, who was found guilty of robbery and causing harm in an incident that occurred on July 10, 2025, at Millennium City near Golden Pride Preparatory School in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
According to police reports, at around 5:30 a.m., the convict attacked a female victim, stealing her handbag containing an iPhone 16 Pro Max and a purse with an unspecified amount of money.
An intelligence-led investigation, aided by details provided by the victim, led to the arrest of Kolie Samuel at his hideout in Ngleshie Amanfro, a suburb of Accra, on the same day. During a search, police recovered the stolen iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Additional items believed to be linked to other robbery incidents were also retrieved, including:
A Dell laptop, two Itel mobile phones, one Nokia phone, one Alcatel mobile phone, one Vodafone WiFi device, two pairs of AirPods, one gold necklace, three wristwatches, one ladies’ purse, one wallet containing a health insurance card bearing the name Kwapong Sahnan, and ten memory cards.
Following investigations, Kolie Samuel was arraigned before the Ofaakor Circuit Court on July 15, 2025.
He pleaded guilty to charges of robbery and causing harm and was sentenced to 14 years and 5 years imprisonment respectively, to run concurrently.
The Central East Regional Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to public safety and security, assuring the public that it will continue to pursue and bring to justice all individuals involved in criminal activities.
