Bawumia Should Resign Following Ghana’s Move to the IMF- Mahama (Video)

Former president Mahama opines that vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia should have stepped down as leader of the economic management team following Ghana’s decision to go for an IMF program.

He listed several indicators showing the government’s failure in managing the economy. These include high inflation, which is hitting nearly 30 per cent, the highest in 19 years, and high debt levels, among others.

He posits that for a government that has respect for honour and responsibility, Ghana’s move to the IMF is enough grounds for the vice president to step down, particularly because of the propaganda peddled by him in opposition when the Mahama-led administration went to the IMF.

Mr. Mahama accuses Vice President Bawumia of displaying a gaping deficit in leadership attributes by making untenable excuses and shifting the blame on his government which left power some six years ago.
