It’s clear, that, at some points, and at some specific locations, at Bawku, the availability of gun bullets, and gun fire, is increasingly becoming burdensome, to community dwellers, and law enforcement officers, stationed at Bawku, to maintain law, and order.
Due to the above situation, security agencies, and their officers, has been called into action, on short notices, to ensure law, and order is maintained, within security management guidelines, and in so doing, their operational effectiveness has been assessed, broadly, by interested persons, and agencies, far, and near.
In direct relation to, what happens anytime, security officers are called into action, and the maintenance of deployment mandate, it’s a reflection of the current situation, and the outcomes achieved, so far, at Bawku.
Since the Police in particular, has been deployed, stationed, and placed at Bawku, for the purposes of helping to maintain law, and order, it’s great to ask that, for all these while, how many people have been arrested, since deployment, what are the investigation outcomes, the category of people who have been firing those guns, and for what reason?
With specific regard to the presence of the Military, and the agitation by community dwellers, to let them leave Bawku, it’s important to ask, or find answers, if any, especially, when the Military is seen to be playing the 1st responders role, in key critical moments, and on some specially occasions.
Now;
- Who deployed the Military to Bawku, and has it yielded the needed expected results?
- What was the Military asked to do at Bawku, and has there been any critical assessment of operational performances, in recent times?
- Who is responsible for the actions of the law enforcement officers, and who takes care of overall progressive outcomes of their operations?
- Is someone conspiring, and unnecessary agitating against the Military presence at Bawku?
- Who is responsible for public engagement duties, and public relation exercises, between community dwellers, and law enforcement agencies, stationed at Bawku?
- Why will the community dwellers be asking the Military to leave Bawku, in such moments of trauma?
- Are we missing something critical, about the relationship between law enforcement officers, their security operations at Bawku, and the aftermath effects.
- Let the Attrocities stop, let the killings stop, and let the gun firing stop, at Bawku. Let’s be sober, find answers, and resolve conflicts through dialogues. Meanwhile,
We implore national political governance leadership, to be courageously focused, to address the cardinal issues, fueling the conflict, and everyone, especially, the community dwellers, at Bawku, will be free, and fine.
