The coalition of Kusaug mainly activists of the ruling NPP has given the government a 24hrs ultimatum to arrest the imposter chief enskinned by Nayiri in Nalerigu or face their wrath.
In a petition to the Zugraana, the coalition of youth groups say they will lay down their peaceful tools if the government fails to come clear on the matter.
the coalition comprises groups from all six administrative districts and constituencies of Kusaas of the Kusaug traditional area; Garu, Tempane, Pusiga, Bawku, Zebilla and Binduri.
They are concerned by the new situation and want immediate and pragmatic action.
The group also questioned the deployment of military for the Wednesday enskinment at the Mamprugu king’s palace in the Nalerugu.
The Bawku Naba and president of the Kusaug traditional area, Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, urged the youth to remain calm as government take steps to address the challenge.
Following his threat in 2021, the overlord of Mamprugu traditional area, Naa Bohugu Mahami Abdulai Sherigah II, in the early hours of Wednesday February 15, enskinned one alhaji Seidu Abagre, as a new Bawku Naba, inflaming passions.
Meanwhile the Bawku Naba, Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, has prevailed on the youth to remain calm as the government takes steps to address the challenge.
