The national bantamweight champion, Daniel Gosh, defeats previously unbeaten Akimus Annan-Ampiah by unanimous decision in his GPBL debut.
On fight night two, the Ghanaian Army triumphed by majority decision for their second victory in the boxing league.
The failure of the palm spring gym and Akotoku academy to produce boxers for the night resulted in fight night two having only five bouts instead of seven.
Daniel Gosh immediately got to work, exchanging punches and jabs with opponent, Akimus Annan-Ampiah, who was also looking to keep his perfect record.
Annan Ampiah fought back in rounds four and five, but he was unable to match the national champion’s body movements and accuracy.
The fight went eight rounds instead of the customary six, at the request of Gosh’s corner, and Gosh won by unanimous decision.
An unanimous decision was also reached in favour of Ghana Armed Forces’ lance corporal Moro Insuah Kanlah, who was making his pro boxing debut against Prince Arhin of sea view gym.
Samuel Adjetey Sowah of the Bridge Foundation gym defeated Godson Amuzu of the charles quartey boxing foundation in a majority decision.
Eric Korley of Panix gym and Haruna Mohammed of the wisdom gym both defeated their opponents via technical knockout earlier.
Per the results, the Ghana Armed Forces, Wisdom, Ghana Prisons, and Panix gyms have maximum six points apiece.
Attoh Quarshie, Akotoku academy, Charles Quarley boxing foundation, Black Panthers, Bronx, and Bridge foundation occupy the fifth to tenth position with three points each.
Seconds Out, Fit Square, Palm Spring, and Sea View gyms are yet to grab a point after two fight nights.
The third fight night is slated for Saturday April 8, at the Bukom boxing arena.
