Police Manhunts for two Persons for Allegedly Steal 1,600 Dollars from Accra Mall

The Police in Accra have launched a manhunt for two people for allegedly stealing an amount of 1,600 dollars from a forex bureau at the Accra Mall Monday afternoon.

The two suspects, according to the victim, entered the forex bureau under the pretext of changing some money but managed to steal some dollars from the counter of the bureau on the blind side of the attendant.

The attendant reportedly chased after the two suspects upon realizing that the money had been stolen, but the suspects drove off in a waiting vehicle.

Investigation is underway to get the suspected thieves arrested to face justice.

A CCTV footage reviewed by the police showed the suspects during the act in the forex bureau at the mall.

The police has however, urging the general public, especially operators of forex bureau to be vigilant and where necessary report any suspicious activities promptly.

According to the police, this could be a new approach adopted by criminals to steal from unsuspecting persons.

The police is urging those who could identify any of the suspects as captured in the CCTV footage to call the police emergency numbers 191 or 18555 or 0200416540 for further Police action.
