George ‘the red tiger’ Ashie, suffered a 7th round knockout in his maiden fight in the USA.

The lightweight boxer moved up to the welterweight to take on Alexis Rocha as an 11th hour replacement after Alexis main opponent withdrew following a nose injury.

Fighting in welterweight for the first time against a much bigger opponent Rocha with a reach advantage, was difficult for George Ashie.

The hard hitting Ashie was uncomfortable throughout the debacle as the difference in the weight class was telling and frightening.

The mexican american had a one-sided bout up until his accidental cut.

However, a straight right put George Ashie to sleep in round 7.

“Excuse me, I beat the shot out of him.” The self-styled “Lex” bullishly expressed in his post-fight comments.

When quizzed on the potency of Ashie’s punches, he said

“I did not feel none of his punches.”

Ashie now has a record of 34 fights, 6 defeats, 1 draw, with 25 knockouts whiles Rocha improves his record to 22 wins with 1 defeat.

This was George Ashie’s first fight ever in the United States of America that ended in a catastrophe.
