A brilliant but needy alumnus of Kwanyako Senior High Technical School, William Afful Bamfo, emerged as the Overall Best Student for the year 2022.
The prodigy with a General Arts background passed his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) with distinction.
William Afful Bamfo earned 7As in subjects and C4 in the English Language in the 2022 WASSCE.

William Afful Bamfo wants to read Law (LLB) in any tertiary institution in Ghana or abroad, according to social media user Kojo Sintim.
The 18-year-old genius is appealing to philanthropists, old students, and the general public to come to his aid to enable him achieve his dream of becoming a lawyer.
In an interview with YEN.com.gh, a former teacher, Nicholas Entsie confirmed that Bamfo comes from a financially disadvantaged family.
William’s former teacher adds his voice in calling on the public to support advance his academic dreams.
”He’s a native of Kwanyako in the Central Region.
He comes from a poor family.
We put up the post to find help for him to further his education.
He needs help,” Entsie told YEN.com.gh.
In another instance, Cynthia Makafui Abla Baragbor studied is a native of Duta in the Volta Region who bagged 8As in Social Studies, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science, Elective Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English Language.
According to Sylvia Esi Awuye on Facebook, Abla has purchased forms from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Ghana, Legon, to further her education but is also seeking help to study abroad.
Speaking to YEN.com.gh in a telephone conversation, Abla’s brother, Jerome Christopher Atisu, confirmed that she attended Keta Senior High School.
”She completed the school with 8As in WASSCE. We’ve bought forms for KNUST and Legon. I’ve also started the process for her school abroad,” he told YEN.com.gh.
