The Police have shot dead two suspected armed robbers and arrested one in connection with the robbery attack at Caprice in Accra on Friday December 9, 2022 where a female victim was shot and robbed in broad day light.
Sustained police intelligence operations since the day of the incident led to the hideout of the suspected robbery gang, resulting in a shootout.
The robbers reportedly opened fire on the police compelling the personnel to return fire.
In the process two of the suspected robbers were shot dead by the police while one was arrested.
One police officer has also sustained gunshot injury to his thigh and is receiving medical attention.
The police says their intelligence operations have been intensified to identify and get the rest of the gang members arrested.
The police while assuring of their resolve to track down the criminals, urged the public to assist with information on suspicious characters within their jurisdictions.
