The Ghana Police Service in the Bono East Region, Ghana, has arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of the Queenmother of Abamba near Amantin.

The victim, Nana Serwaa Asaamaa Kuma Gyan, was reportedly shot at her residence in the Methodist Church Area, Atebubu on February 25, 2026, in an incident that shocked residents of the community.
According to police, the suspects, Rafiu Haruna, Muftawy Adamu, and Michael Owusy Spermi, were arrested through an intelligence-led operation by the Bono East Regional Police Command.

The three suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations into the killing.
Police say efforts are ongoing to track down any other individuals who may have been involved in the crime.

Authorities have assured the public that all perpetrators connected to the murder of the queenmother will be brought to justice.
