Tormented businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome has stated unequivocally that he has forgiven all those who insulted him because of the GHC 51.2 million judgment debt the State prosecutors claim, was wrongfully paid to him.

“Today all those who have insulted me because of false information, I have forgiven them,” he told journalists after the Court of Appeal dismissed the State’s challenge to his acquittal by a High Court on two counts of defrauding by false pretence and causing financial loss to the State.

He added: “Just take a copy of the ruling and read it for yourself and see. I forgive all those who have insulted me and I leave them for God”.

State prosecutors had sought overturned Justice Ajet Nasam’s judgement of March 2015, which clearly chastised the ‘shoddy and unserious’ work done by the AG in the case at the High Court.

Mr. Woyome said “the first thing everyone must do is to trust in their God because he would never let you down. I have been vilified and insulted and for four years the judgment has come.

Meanwhile the Supreme Court has ordered Mr. Woyome to refund the GHC 51.2 million paid him by the state. He has however pleaded for a period of 3 years to conclude the payment of the money, a proposal that has been dismissed by the court.
