ISD apologises for errors, misrepresentation in Ghana@59 brochure

1 Min Read
The Information Services Department has taken full responsibility for the misrepresentation and errors contained in the official brochure for Ghana’s 59th Independence Day celebration in Accra Sunday.

It has consequently apologised to President John Mahama and the people of Ghana for the  embarrassing act, which has exposed Ghanaians and the presidency to backlash and public ridicule, especially on social media.

“The Department, which authored the content of the brochure, accepts responsibility and wishes to unreservedly apologise for the development,” a statement issued and signed by the Acting Director on Monday stated.

The brochure among other errors, addressed Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyata as the President of Ghana.

Ghanaians took to social media immediately after the event to critique the brochure as they chastise officials responsible for doing a poor job with many asking for sanctions to be applied.

Accompanying the critiques were snapshots of the various pages that were fraught with errors and misrepresentation.
