A youth group calling itself the Nanung youth for development in the Bimbilla have given their member for parliament, Dominic Nitiwul, a maximum of 2 months to get all contractors of abandoned projects in the constituency back on site.
In a petition submitted to the regent of Bimbilla, the aggrieved residents accused the MP and his ruling government of failing to complete ongoing projects in the Nanumba North municipality.
The angry youth chanted war songs through the principal streets of Bimbilla to the Nanung traditional council, where they presented their petition to the regent.
The group earlier visited some uncompleted projects within the Bimbilla township including the Bimbilla senior high school dining hall.
Leader of the petitioners, Attah Suale, indicated that, the member of parliament, Dominic Nitiwul, has represented the constituency for 16 years and yet has nothing to show for his stewardship.
Attah Suale regretted the undue delay in completing the Bimbilla senior high school dining hall project in particular, which he said has left the student with no option than to compete with animals for space to feed.
He again lamented the deplorable state of basic school infrastructure within the constituency with most school operating under trees.
The group therefore gave the MP a two-month ultimatum to complete the abandoned projects or face their wrath.
Zindoo Nantogmah received the petition on behalf of the Nanung traditional council.
He assured the traditional council will do everything possible to get the MP to responds to the petition.
