Former Minister of Trades and Industry, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, first thanked President Akufo-Addo for graciously accepting his resignation.
The former trade minister also expressed gratitude for the support he enjoyed from his family, Ghanaian, his friends, the NPP party and international community while serving as a minister.
Alan Kyerematen resigned from the government in a letter on Thursday, January 5 and same was accepted by President Akufo-Addo on Friday, January 6.
He was consequently replaced by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, who is to act as caretaker minister.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, January 7, Alan Kyerematen said he will be addressing Ghanaians in the next few days on his next line of action.
Ahead of his planned public address though there is widespread predicted that his resignation is to allow him focus on his presidential ambitions.
